Non-profit book marketer in Washington DC. I love baking, reading, and aimless wandering. I own too many nail polish colors.

The MPDC should be paying attention to the cabbies and truck drivers who blatantly ignore pedestrian right of way at 13th and K instead of ticketing the freaking cupcake truck.
Went to see Song 1 at the Hirshhorn tonight. If you’re in DC, go. It’s amazing. It would make the perfect date night. Cause I only have eyes for yooooouuuu!

Opening day, only about a week away!
I’ve been looking forward to baseball season for a very, very long time. Go Nats!
This is too cute! Secret Service give some ducklings a little help. (DCist)
Woo hoo! I’m finally going to see Singin’ In the Rain on the big screen! I had no idea until today that AFI Silver Spring is having a Gene Kelly retrospective. So now I know where I’ll be every weekend until April.
Went to the BlueBrain boombox walk today at the Botanical Gardens. I’m really glad I went even though I didn’t have a boombox to carry around. Locals getting gawked at by tourists is always a good time.
New DC lunch spot alert! Went to SUNdeVICH with a co-worker today. It’s in a converted garage hidden in a little alley off 9th and N St. I had the Kingston sandwich (jerk chicken, pineapple salsa, some sort of garlic mayo). SO GOOD! Was a bit of a messy sandwich but I made it work with a fork and knife. I will definitely be back. And that concludes Sandwich Shoppe Reviews with Eleanor.
Three cloud-to-ground lightning bolts strike behind the Jefferson Memorial at 8:53 PM Wednesday night. Strong breezes at the time created ripples across the surface of the Tidal Basin which were illuminated by the lightning. Great photo!
Went to a happy hour tonight held at the Archives after hours. They let us wander about the Rotunda, which was amazing because I could look at the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights without being pushed around by a group of tourists. Just me in front of the case. Seriously cool DC moment.
