Netflix Unveils 60% Price Hike For Streaming-Plus-DVD Service, Separates Disc and Streaming | Deadline

Netflix is taking further steps to kill their DVD service by separating disc and streaming into individual $7.99 price points. Starting September 1st if you want both streaming and a disc a month it’s going to cost you $15.98.

What the hell, Netflix? I’m really disappointed. Am I the only person thinking of ditching the streaming and keeping the discs? More and more of what I want to see lately is only available on disc as it is. I can scroll through Instant for ages and not find a thing I want to watch. If they’re going to make a move like this they really ought to announce a kick up in the amount of movies/shows available for streaming.
